Epicutaneous Administration of Vaccines
DBV Technologies is developing a prophylactic vaccination programme for Hepatitis A and B, Meningitis, flu, Typhoid and Shigella, as well as therapeutic oncology vaccines. The advantages of VIASKIN® for epicutaneous vaccine delivery are that it is 100% needle-free and easy to apply and minimises the stringency of cold chain requirements, distribution, specialised personnel, and reduces overall costs. Preclinical trials have shown encouraging results in different vaccine models.
