Cosmaceuticals: Epidermal Treatment Applications

DBV Technologies is working on the epicutaneous delivery of cosmaceuticals in powdered form. DBV is currently in discussions with large global cosmetics companies regarding the use of the VIASKIN® technology for cosmaceutical applications.

Studies have shown that VIASKIN® technology can lead to a rapid, durable and homogenous increase in hydration of all layers of the epidermis.

As a result, the company has decided to pursue the opportunity of developing a number of cosmetics products for a range of applications such as skin care, anti-wrinkle and “coup d’éclat”.

  • Due to much lighter regulatory constraints, these products can be developed rapidly at minimal cost.
  • The aim is to develop a new revenue source in the short term while using only limited cash and personnel resources.
