Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr Jean François Biry was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DBV Technologies in 2005. Before joining DBV Technologies, Jean-François was President at Laboratoires Codepharma, where under his management the Company launched the first contraceptive patch to the French market in 2004. Prior to this position he was CEO of Groupe Cider Sante, a service provider for the healthcare industry, for almost a decade. With his extensive management experience, Mr Biry leads the Company in the commercialisation of the Diallertest® product range and the development of novel applications of VIASKIN® technology.
Chief Business Officer
Dr. Hing Kin Chan joined DBV as Chief Business Officer from ProBioGen AG in Germany where he was Vice President of Commercial Development. In this role, Dr. Chan was responsible for securing contract services and out-licensing contracts with biotechnology and big pharma companies. Dr Chan has valuable experience in business development including specialist roles with drug delivery companies including Eurand International S.p.A, IDEA AG, Colorcon, Lohmann Therapie Systeme and Röhm Pharma (Degussa). Dr Chan plays a key role in securing partnership agreements with industry for the Company’s technologies and products. Dr. Chan holds a BPharm (hons) degree from University of London, UK and a PhD from University of Geneva, Switzerland.
Chief Financial Officer
Dr Florian Reinaud joined DBV Technologies as the Company’s first Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Previously he worked at Apax Partners where he advised on and executed both venture and late stage investments in the healthcare field. Prior to this, Dr. Reinaud worked as an analyst with Schroder Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup). As CFO, Dr. Reinaud will help secure future financings to enable DBV to take products to market. Dr Reinaud holds a BA (hons) from Oxford University and a medical degree from Imperial College School of Medicine, London UK.
Regulatory Affairs Director
Dr. Laurent Martin joined DBV Technologies as Regulatory Affairs Director. He previously worked at Orphan Europe, a Company specialised in marketing orphan drugs, where his responsibilities were divided between Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance. At DBV Technologies, Dr. Martin will use his international regulatory affairs experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry gained at Galderma, Fournier and Guerbet to co-ordinate worldwide registration of DBV Technologies pharmaceutical products. Dr. Martin holds an MBA from IAE Paris Sorbonne and received his Masters in Public Health Law from the Faculty of Sceaux, France. Dr. Martin graduated as a pharmacist at the University Rene Descartes, Paris, France.
Chief Technical Officer
Mr. Bertrand Dupont is DBV Technologies’ Joint Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Prior to founding DBV Technologies, Mr. Dupont qualified as an engineer from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers in Paris and went on to pursue a career in teaching and consultancy. From 1996, Mr. Dupont began applying his knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering to biomedical research and from 2000 was central to the development of VIASKIN® patch technology and application system. As CTO, Mr. Dupont leads the development of the VIASKIN® technology across its current and future biomedical applications.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Pierre-Henri Benhamou is a joint Founder and Chief Medical Officer of DBV Technologies. After studying medicine in Paris, Dr. Benhamou graduated in Paediatrics from Amiens University and went on to specialise in paediatric gastroenterology. Dr. Benhamou has held a number of senior clinical positions including Senior Consultant at St Vincent de Paul Hospital in Paris. From 1989, Dr. Benhamou took up a position at the Centre for Digestive Exploration of Infants at the Surgical Clinic of Boulogne-Billancourt where he specialised in paediatric gastro-enterology and nutrition. Dr. Benhamou was the winner of the Altran Foundation Prize for Innovation in 2003, for his work on the development of patch tests for diagnosis of cow’s milk allergy.
Project Manager
Nathalie Donne graduated with a degree in Biology from the University Paris VI France and a Masters degree in Biotechnology Innovation from the National Institute of Agronomy in Paris and Reims Management School. She then became Product Manager at DBV from 2003 where she first worked on Diallertest® Milk and then later on projects in cosmetology and the wider Diallertest® product range.
